Beware of Nagra3 file scams

Some people have received emails from pay sites proclaiming a Nagra3 fix.  This is false.  As of March 2009, there is no fix for Nagra3.  Once the fix is released, it will be available on every site in the community and not just "selected" pay sites.  As with all file releases, pay sites get their files from official release sites such as ftahq and norwfta.  The difference is that they charge you for the privilege of logging in when release sites are bogged down with traffic.  There is nothing available on pay sites that is not available anywhere else.  This will include Nagra3 files when they are released.  And when they are released, you will know.

Discard any email you get regarding this matter.  Anyone who is trying to sell you a Nagra3 fix is trying to rip you off.  If you are using Windows, do not open any attachments or risk virus infection or spyware.

EXACTLY the reason why there will be NO RELEASE of any Nagra3 fix before all channels are down.  Would you rather wait for a solid fix or take your chances with something that is easily defeated and possibly engineered so that future fixes are difficult if not impossible?  I know there is an "I want it now" kind of mentality in the community.  But this is the reason why the coders never make public statements and why they never show their hand prematurely.   And to anyone who just couldn't wait for an N3 solution and paid your money for this scam, you got what you asked for.   Happy?

The advertisements containing the N3 fixes are google ads placed here by Google. They are not requested, controlled or approved in any way by this site.
