c/p from MidNightWatcher

Here is a small list of sites that offer proxys

www.samair.ru/proxy/
www.xroxy.com/
www.proxy4free.com/
www.nntime.com/
www.us.mworx.eu/proxy/index.htm
www.publicproxyservers.com/page1.html
www.tools.rosinstrument.com/proxy/?start3
www.fpl.my-proxy.com/download-fpl.php

The difference between Transparent and Anonymous Proxy's:

Transparent Proxy = only one bounce thru it to get to where you're going
Anonymous Proxy = two or more bounces to get to where you're going

Generally speaking, a Transparent Proxy is used to cache frequently-requested-content (not protect your privacy).
Expecting anonymity from an Anonymizing proxy server makes sense.
Expecting anonymity from a Transparent Proxy? Why? How?
I consider a "Transparent" Proxy to be the same as "Glass", your IP address is "see-thru".

More info can be found here:
www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proxy_server

Now regardless of all of the above, given that IKS is using that scattered proxy on the server side.
So then why bother using a Transparent Proxy on your nfusion?
With a Transparent Proxy, if your IP address does NOT have anonymity then what have you really accomplished?
In fact, with a Transparent Proxy there are now additional delays introduced between your nfusion and the IKS server(s).

My 2 cents, if you want to anonymity for your IP address then follow these steps:
1st - Find (another) Anonymous Proxy server.
2nd - Put that proxy info in your PC's web browser proxy settings and go to the above 2 sites to see if your real IP shows up.
3rd - If your real IP address shows up then this was not an anonymous proxy server. Then start with the 1st step again.
4th - Use this proxy info in your nfusion proxy settings.
5th - If you get frequent "service not available" messages in nfusion then this proxy is too slow. Then start with the 1st step again.

Yes, it is lot of work but it is worth it if you find fast and anonymous proxy server.

But I still believe that introducing Proxy Settings in 1.44 is a step in the right direction.

All I do is post files.  I am not a coder.  I do not participate in discussion and I do not answer PMs.  Please ask for support in the forums.

Happy Testing.
